Course Description: This course presents an overview of the main factors to consider in establishing or building an FR/AR PPE program. Topics include thermal hazard risk assessment; NFPA 70E Risk Assessment Procedure; PPE best practices; and factors to consider in PPE/clothing. Additional topics include task-based and daily wear FR/AR clothing; likelihood of consequence factors; reasons why employees may choose not to wear PPE; organizational culture and PPE; risk management; consequences of risk; and how workplace factors contribute to human error.
